Introduction to Difference
Navigating a divided and complex world can be hard.
We encounter this in our relationships, in our communities and in our wider systems and structures. Many of us long to make a difference, but often we don’t know how to respond or where to start.
This is why Archbishop Justin Welby has brought together leading practitioners and thinkers to create Difference.
Difference equips you to cross divides, navigate disagreement and pursue a just and flourishing world. It is an exciting new resource for churches and groups.
Through a series of interactive sessions the Difference course creates an open and hopeful environment for you and your group to explore some of the tough issues and move forward in confidence.
As part of Archbishop Justin’s reconciliation ministry, the course has been co-created and run over the last couple of years with thousands of people across different church traditions, contexts, countries and denominations.
Difference groups have run in churches, homes, universities, gardens and prisons, with a simple format of listening to stories (through a film and scripture), an interactive activity and a time of prayer.
The content is distinctively Christian, but anyone is welcome to take part. It is designed for both large and small groups, meeting online or in-person.
Our prayer is that the Difference course is transformative for you and your group. The essential training will take you less than half an hour, but there’s lots more for you to engage with to equip you with everything you need. Once you’ve watched each film or read an article, click ‘Mark as complete’ to move onto the next part of the training.
